This place, 't is like a dream to me
where worries cease and I feel free
there's nowhere else I'd rather be
't is here that all is well

On all the well-known paths I walk
and listen to the forest's talk
a falling star, a soaring hawk
always a tale to tell

The birdsong echoes in my head
good are the meals, soft is my bed
can none live hither in my stead?
't is here I wish to dwell

I wrote this during my stay with my grandparents, the last few days. I'm back home now, alas. I love my home, but I love that forest more. It's all in the poem ^^. Could be the thought of someone staying in Rivendell, too.

Beautiful place indeed. I wish I was there again *dreamy look* But no, I have to go to a funeral :(

I'm glad you like it :D That rhyming scheme was quite a challenge! I couldn't find the right words when I needed them. But in the evening I found them. Had been working on it all afternoon with bits at the time ^^
