I can't believe this.

Journal Entry: Wed May 7, 2008, 1:18 PM
My cousin, Bart, is dead. He was 14 years old and the sweetest boy in the family. I don't know if he walked into that truck on purpose or not, but I hope the bullies and his dad who made his short life so miserable will have nightmares for the rest of their lives, or at least seriously reconsider their points of view on other people. There's a limit on the bad things a person can take. My aunt has had too much. I admire her, she's a very strong woman, but I doubt she can take this. She shouldn't have to take it. No-one should. Bart has two brothers, an older one and a younger one. They've had to take a lot, too. Their lives will never be the same. The youngest has allways been the personification of mischief. What will happen to him now? I saw Bart only last week. We had a walk and it was beautiful. He seemed to have a good time, before he started looking moody again. Bart is with our grandparents now, and maybe this was what he really wanted. Maybe he's happy now. He's not hurting anymore. He's been hurting inside for so long. I just can't believe this. I can't. I don't want to. But I know it's true. It's just not fair. Not fair at all. That's what I feel now. Hurt for my aunt and my other cousins, and disbelief. He's been long gone, his happy spirit was long gone, but we thought we could bring it back. We tried. Everyone tried so hard. No chance of that now.

I have the same problem, I like so many characters in the sil! :D They're all great! Most of them, anyway, not Morgoth and Ungoliant and such. Don't like the bad ones.
Are you on the Council of Elrond, the fansite?

So are you :cuddle:
Aiglos arrived here today! I'm so happy with it! Thank you so, so, so much! The cards you sent along with it are beautiful, too :) I'm going to make a painting for you and then send it by mail. It's the least I can do, really. You've read the silmarillion, haven't you? What was your favorite character in it? I would love to know :)
I've only read LOTR once, but I've seen the films a couple of times. They're different then the books, but just as nice to watch. I love the amount of detail they put into the films! It really brings Tolkien's world to life, and i love that  I have the same problem, if I read, I tend to forget the world around me. Many people have complained to me about it, saying that it was impossible to talk to me when I'm reading, because I simply don't hear them :D.

:giggle: I buy a lot of books but don't have time to read them all :( but while I've reading world around me doesn't exist ;P But I'm happy I have to read some tolkienistic books soon and now I'm finishing LOTR (start to read The Return of the King now) beacause it gives me a lot of pleasure :aww: Your English is a lot of better than mine but I'm happy to hear that you are able to understand me and accept my imperfection  You're lovely :cuddle:

that's cool. i've never tried the irish flute, but i should sometime.

yeah, i think it would be cool to play the piano or the guitar. i have a keyboard at home, but i don't play that often.

I tried playing the piccolo once, I couldn't get any sound out of it ^^
An irish flute has open holes, they're wider apart, you have to blow harder, the sound is really different (more enchanting, if you ask me) and it's made of wood. And off course the kind of music you play on it is different, too: Irish folk music. You can play less notes on it, too, but if you play irish music you don't need those notes so that's not a problem. It's a great difference. You have to play more ornaments, and play more by ear and less by what's on your sheetmusic. Especially the last thing is hard, but I love it. Gives a sence of freedom, really :)

The piano is a great instrument! Maybe I'll try to learn it too, one day, we'll see :) There's some really beautifull piano music around. If you like the piano, I think you should try to learn it

If only I could buy books and let them lay around for some time! If I buy one, I HAVE to read it immediately, just can't stop myself :D
I will put it inside as a bookmark, then, that's great
So is my english, but we try, don't we? As long as people are able to understand what we're trying to say, it's ok :) :cuddle:

I have to improve my English..it's horror sometimes...
There is many interesting tolkienistic books publish in English and because reading it is more difficult than in Polish I usually buy it and they lay on shell after it and waiting on "good moment"...;) stupid me :giggle:

wow, i started playing when i was...hmmmm...let's see... I was 9 years old.

my aunt wants me to learn to play the piano. i can't play that well, but i can take flute music and play it on the piano. how different is an Irish flute from a silver flute? my friend plays the piccolo. i was going to play the piccolo, but i didn't want to have to pay for one.

I think I started when I was 5 or 6 years old, on a small plastic flute, and I got a big silver one when I played for a year or so. I was quite shocked when I realised I played it for 10 years allready :D
